Haar vibe wordt vaak vergeleken met die van Green Tea Peng, Amy Winehouse, Iamddb, Erykah Badu of Lauryn Hill. Ayisha Thomas verkent een niche genre waarin ze spreekt over de werking van de samenleving en het falen van de politiek. Haar muziek wordt vooral geïnspireerd door jazzy percussie, melodische baslijnen en harmonische vocalen. Produceren is voor Ayisha de manier om verdriet en onmacht van hardnekkige problemen te verwerken. Solo reisde ze met loopstation en mic naar een rap battle event in New York, waar ze indruk maakte met haar unieke stijl en verhaal. Ze bewandelt een muzikaal pad, waarin elke song verschilt van soul, sound en beleving.
Dit optreden is een vernieuwde versie van haar show tijdens Nationale Vrouwendag, “Siblings of the Soil” in de Melkweg — en geeft alvast een krachtig voorproefje van haar aankomende album “Corporatism”. Op dit album werkt ze onder meer samen met het Amerikaanse producer The Black Depths. Tijdens Lucy’s Wijsje in Pathé Scheveningen kregen ze moeiteloos elke groep aan het dansen. Dit jaar verscheen ze in een nieuw duo: de Womance. Samen met Betty Schokker stond ze op het podium van de PIP, waar ze eerder ook al te zien was met AW84.
